Further rumours have surfaced that suggest a particular French automobile may have caught his eye. Unsubstantiated figures have touted a fuel economy of 5 litres per 100kms. That's 47 miles per gallon; approaching Toyota Prius territory.

Well a Pugeot (however you spell it) 405 1700cc turbo intercoled that can do a 1000 kms on $50 worth of diesel and heaps of grunt has gotta be good. Even with RUCs it still pretty efficient. The BMW does 400kms for $80.
maybe he heard that scott was thinking of selling his 155 and decided he needed cash ready to snap it up as soon as it comes avaliable
