I'd just like to point out...
...that a certain BMW owner is selling his ride - an alarming turn of events considering his history of shamelessly outspoken tirades both for his 'beloved' German marque, and against another certain Italian marque.
The gory details can be found here.
Update:
Further rumours have surfaced that suggest a particular French automobile may have caught his eye. Unsubstantiated figures have touted a fuel economy of 5 litres per 100kms. That's 47 miles per gallon; approaching Toyota Prius territory.

Rumour Mill
Since everyone else is speculating about everything else at this time (General election in two weeks), I'd like to stir up an Alfa rumour.
I have heard, on reasonably good authority but with limited details, that a certain alfisti in our midst is considering the sale - nay; abandonment - of a certain piece of red hardware.
While I am shocked, and even dismayed, I do understand the purported reason for this desperate measure, and trust in good faith that should this tragic situation eventuate, the departed italian will be swiftly and decisively replaced with a more efficient model from the same stable.
I hereby extend to the person responsible, an invitation to substantiate the above claim.
Hear me now, these are truly desperate times.

Shout Out To TASKA!
Well I now, thanks to the above mentioned person, have wheel bearings installed. So now I can drive really fast without feeling the wobbles and now no grinding sound! Auckland motorists WATCH OUT! tehe.
In other news I think my clutch is starting to slip. It's not major at all. I just need to keep an eye on it and will change it when I fix my gearbox. Which is a sencible thing to do and most likely would have done anyway. So no real issue. Just shouldn't go round towing heaps of stuff.
Thanks allan for the offer of grease. Matt had a supply so we were all good.
CHUR!
