The 155

Wohoo!

I sold my beautiful 33 to Jono. Or should I say Jono is driving it around at the moment, and will pay me later!

As a replacement, I now have a beautiful red Alfa 155. Matthew and I just took it up to Cape Reinga for a bit of a Road Trip. Really nice to drive.

You can see it...and/or drive it nine times. Hehe.
Seriously I remembered you were having your birthday lunch on Sunday so I didn't disturb you as I originally planned with bringing the alfa around. But if you free sometime this week, I'd be happy for you to take it out for a spin! :)

I have a theory.
The idea of the Red Shift is that stars are moving rapidly away from us and so the light is effected with a kind of doppler effect and shifted towards the red end of the visible spectrum.

Would this mean a red alfa moving away from an observer would tend to feel faster than a white alfa doing the same thing?

yeah, it wouldn't feel faster, but red(longest wavelength) cars would look faster. And the cars that appear to be moving slowest are blue(shortest wavelength) - the colour at the opposite end of the visible spectrum.
